Author

At the centre of his story is not simply an alien world or an unexplained virus, but a deeply human question: what are we willing to risk for the people we love, and how much of our future should be decided for us?

Through Dr Serin Aalto, Kess and the survivors of the Vorren Kai, Scheers explores the tension between scientific discovery and human instinct, the weight of the past, and the possibility of choosing a different future.

The Continuum Strain reflects his interest in speculative ideas that can carry emotional consequences, creating a science-fiction story where the biggest mysteries are ultimately connected to the people facing them.
